Adelaide Film Festival: Bad Boy Bubby

""

Port Adelaide will be hosting this one-night-only events as part of this year’s Adelaide Film Festival — a special screening of Bad Boy Bubby.

After last year’s inaugural 9:16 Film Festival, Film Buff Central proprietor, Mike Retter and 9:16 co-producer, Chris Luscri have teamed up with Renewal SA, City of Port Adelaide Enfield and the Adelaide Film Festival to expand their ideas in 2015.

On October 17, Rolf de Heer’s controversial masterpiece comes home to Port Adelaide. Bad Boy Bubby is both an international cult classic and local folklore, and will be presented in binaural sound for the first time — expect to wear an audio headset to immerse yourself into actor Nick Hope’s experience.

The film also holds a record for having 31 cinematographers to give every scene a distinctly different look. Originally part of a low-budget methodology, this became an integral concept.
