The Adelaide Fringe is BACK in the Port for 2018. There’s plenty going on so we’ve plotted it all out for you! From comedy to cabaret, art to theatre and everything inbetween it’s all here.

Granny Flaps- Hanging Out– Adelaide’s dirty little secret is back and this time she’s coming to you! Join the ukulele toting grandma on her latest life journey through love, lust and body parts. Joshua Warrior- Aboriginal Gigolo– Following a SOLD OUT Adelaide Fringe season in 2017, the Nunga from Down Under is back to wow the crowd with his show Aboriginal Gigolo. His magical Aboriginal fusion will have you in cramps while his loud rambunctious one-liners will finish you off. The British Hotel Port Adelaide- 16 Mar 9.15pm

Conversare @ Folklore Café–  Are you an adventurous spirit who appreciates that connecting with others? If so coming along to a Conversare event will fill you with delight. Port Adelaide Ghost Crime Tour– Our Port Adelaide Ghost Tour will take you to some of the most haunted buildings in the Port today. Meeting point is in the lobby of the Lighthouse Wharf Hotel at 1 Commercial Rd, Port Adelaide. Every Saturday and Sunday during Fringe 7.15pm

Port Fringe– Spend a balmy evening with artists, musos, muses, comedians, pranksters, foodies and funksters… laugh your face off, eat your heart out, dance your pants off, party your arty parts, rock your blues bent, have your family fun fill! Featuring sensational stars in the Fringe Caravan, then a stellar line up on the Big Stage and nooks and crannies of the Port.  Look out for the fabulous giant puppets!  Port Fringe Hub, Commercial Rd, and surrounds, Port Adelaide.  Sat 24 Feb 5pm-10pm

#64 #65 #66 Iconic Live Beatles– Kaleidoscope Eyes return from their sold out 2017 Fringe season. This year they will perform songs from the Iconic Live Beatles shows from 64, 65 and 66. From Adelaide’s very own Iconic show of 64, to the famous Shea Stadium gig in 65, to the controversial shows of The Budokan in 66. This will be a night of high energy Beatles rock and roll. The Railway Hotel, Port Adelaide- 10 Mar 8pm

Blonde Bombshells of Jazz– Together Bonnie & Kerry join forces to present a tribute show featuring fabulous songs of Marilyn Monroe, Rosemary Clooney, Doris Day, Peggy Lee, Marlene Dietrich, Jane Mansfield & more. Both Bonnie & Kerry presented sold out shows in previous Adelaide Fringes with Miss Kitty’s Karavan & Bessie Billie Dinah. Choirmasters and the Choristers– The Reggae rhythms, hip life and hi life music will thrill audiences and give them an insight into the music of modern Africa. Double Feature- The Rocky Horror Tribute Show– The tribute band paying musical homage to the fantastic Songs and Characters created by Richard O’Brien in his worldwide cult hits of stage and screen – The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Port Dock Brewery Hotel- 9-10 Mar 9pm

Gypsy Fire Electric– Featuring amazing Czech violinists Romana Geermans & Matthew Fagan, (Lord of the Strings!) on ten-string Spanish and electric guitars present a captivating show featuring passionate performances of European Gypsy, Gypsy Jazz, Tango, Bluegrass, Celtic and Flamenco and World Premier “Gypsy Fire Electric” where Romana & Matthew take on rock masters Hendrix, Queen, Zepplin, Deep Purple to Beatles and even ABBA classics. The British Hotel Port Adelaide- 4 Mar 7pm

SOMA- Sound Bath– An improvised performance exploring deep meditational states. The Port Rocks– Celebrate The Port Rocks tenth anniversary! Dress to kill in your 50’s trashy, retro, shabby chic gear and bar hop your way around live music venues in an extravaganza of Rockabilly, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Folk, Roots, Blues and Jazz. See SA Live Music over 10 hours around Port Adelaide Heritage Pubs and venues. The day starts at 10 am with the Classic Car Show ‘n’ Shine Competition. A Greek Tragedy ‘Oedipus Rex- The King’– Sophocle’s 2500 year old Tragedy remains the BEST of all times! The British Hotel Port Adelaide- 23-24 Feb 6.15pm

Socially [Un]Acceptable– Straight from Edinburgh and Melbourne Fringe Festivals, socially [un]acceptable is a raw stage performance which details one woman’s personal experience of sexual assault through a series of autobiographical vignettes. This powerful performance is paired with anonymous portraits of sexual assault survivors by Adelaide artist Stephanie Mitchell.
Unapologetically honest and confronting, socially [un]acceptable will challenge and inspire you. The British Hotel Port Adelaide- 8-11 Mar 8pm

The Red Forge Publishing House– The performance will encourage the audience to think about the pursuit of science, holograms and time travel. What would you like to do if given the chance to time travel? The Dockside Tavern- 26-27 Feb 7.30pm

Bridge– Join us as we bridge time, gaps, cultures and differences, connecting between two adjacent elements and between the seemingly incompatible. The bridge of the nose, of a ship, of glasses, of a guitar, the bridge too far or too burnt, we will be bringing you our take on the word BRIDGE. Keeping It Glassy– Keeping it Glassy is a celebration of the glass cup. Big cups, little cups, cups with patterns, coloured cups and cups that have feet. Over twenty glass artists come together to showcase their handmade cups. Yo.Dan Studio 27 Feb, 1-3, 8-10, 13, 15-17 Mar 10am-4pm

Port Community Arts Centre Members Fringe Exhibition– An eclectic collection and exhibition of Port Community Arts Centre Members artworks – fabrics, mosaics, printmaking, drawing, woodwork, watercolour, ceramics, oils – explore multicultural creativity. Black Diamond Gallery- 12-25 Feb 11am- 4pm

PORTrayal– Port Adelaide Artists Forum members’ thought provoking and beautiful exhibition about Port Adelaide. PORTrayal is a depiction of Port Adelaide’s past, present and future.
2D and 3D artwork of the Port’s history, people, dolphins, pelicans, mangroves, ships, sheds, architecture including some pieces with cultural and social comment. Gallery Yampu, Birkenhead- 23-25 Feb, 2-4, 9-11 Mar 11am-4pm

Sea Me– SEA me is a body of work developed by four Tutti Arts visual artists based at the Fontanelle workshop in Port Adelaide and showcases colourful and lively 2D works in mixed media of various sizes and scales. Fontanelle Gallery- 19-20, 26-27 Feb, 5-6, 12-13 Mar 1pm-3pm

Soma- Body Transformation Installation– A multimedia installation & exhibition generated from the artist’s self-experimentation with body transformation & biofeedback tools. Biological data is converted into visual & sonic art, producing sound representations of inner physiological changes. SOMA draws upon & expresses ancient spiritual & philosophical understandings of the body as divine. Hart’s Mill Port Adelaide- 25-28 Feb, 1-4 Mar 11am- 5.30pm

Weight and Measurement– ‘Weight and Measurements’ is a performative installation work by Sydney based Artist Salote Tawale. Salote Tawale was born in Suva, Fiji Islands and grew up in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
