Port Fringe 2017

The Port will Fringe it up with street theatre, roving performers, contemporary Aboriginal dance, exhibitions, children’s art workshops, live music, DJs, open studios, projections, market stalls and laneway activations. There will be music and laughter in the air and singing and dancing in the street!

Fringe on Tour

Find a shady spot and enjoy some great fun as the Adelaide Fringe caravan presents a wonderful array of Fringe acts and roving characters on the corner of Nile Street from 5pm until 7pm

Fontanelle Opening

Grand opening of Fontanelle Gallery and Studios in the heart of Port Adelaide, featuring ‘Mother Ship’ exhibition, drinks and open studios from 5.30pm to 8pm. Laneway music featuring renowned DJ/Producer Strict Face supported by Fontanelle’s DJ Les will continue till late.

Commercial Road North is Adelaide’s latest “eat street” with Carmine&Co, Riverside Chinese Restaurant, Argo Hellenic Cafe Restaurant, El Greco Pizza, Port Admiral Hotel’s Pop-up, Commercial Hotel, Lighthouse Wharf Hotel, Low & Slow American BBQ and Korked Lounge Bar just around the corner in Divett Street.

Live Entertainment

Live music by Local Revolution, Bonnie Lee Galea Trio, plus Chesterfield, and a contemporary Aboriginal dance performance by Kurruru Youth Performing Arts.

Come and discover some of Adelaide’s finest designers, artists and creatives under the trees and along the laneways.

Kid’s Zone

Featuring the Imagination Playground – an innovative, safe and interactive foam playground. Rear courtyard of the Visitor Information Centre until 9pm.

Mixed Creative’s Stowaway Live Music Club

The former Casualty Hospital at 32 Nile Street is being transformed as Mixed Creative – café, artisan retail studios and Stowaway Live Music Club. Experience a taste of what is to come with live music, laneway garden bar and more.

Street Studios

Live tattooing by Black Diamond Tattoo’s Beau Newman and Matej Bacic, figurative/portraiture painting by Thomas Readett and iPad illustration demonstrations by Bev Puckridge. Artwork on display and for sale outside Jaqueline Barmentloo’s studio at 33 Commercial Road until 10pm.

Port Community Arts Centre

‘Impressions’ group exhibition in the Black Diamond Gallery will stay open until 9pm. PCAC members will also be selling art works.

Colour the Waterfront art workshops

Maritime, ocean and port themed art workshops for young people by local artist Penny Mortimer in the Port Community Arts Centre’s studios located in the former Port Adelaide Police Station’s jail cells

Drawing and painting workshop for 5-10 year olds – 5pm to 6:30pm
Printing and decorating on tote bags for 10-15 year olds – 7pm to 8:30pm
