This year Sandstorm Events presents, ‘The Jungle Book’ in sand daily from Saturday 13 April 2019 to Sunday 28 April 2019 in its new home at the iconic Harts Mill in Port Adelaide. Three international and nine Australian sculptors will spend 12 days creating 16 sand sculptures depicting the family favourites from the story.
After gaining South Australian fame at Port Noarlunga, Sandstorm Events sand sculpting exhibition is now relocating to Harts Mill, Port Adelaide. The relocation to an indoor location allows for a much wider audience to view the art without sculptors or viewers having to battle the often dramatic weather elements experienced on the beach.
The event is ticketed, with entry including viewing of the sand sculptures, children’s activity sheet, the sand sculpting discovery zone, a theatrette, viewing platform and sculptor talks, interactive photo opportunities, an evening light show (6pm – 9pm), sand sculpting workshops, the games zone including a giant kids sand pit and a food truck park.
The Jungle Book themed exhibition will be open to public Saturday 13 April to Sunday 28 April from 10am to 9pm. In addition to the daily school holiday fun, families can enjoy the Sandsational Easter Egg Hunt over the Easter break.
