Foodies look no further than the Port!
We’re thrilled to hear that local Port businesses took out not one but TWO prestigious awards in the The Advertiser Food Awards last night.
La Popular Taqueria was awarded Best Cheap Eats for their authentic Mexican fare. La Popular Taqueria is all about serving tacos the way they should be, the way Mexicans like them. No sour cream, No lettuce, no hard-shells. Instead, they serve their tacos according to the taco ‘holy trinity’: a good handmade tortilla, a homemade filling and a vibrant salsa. And clearly for an affordable price too!
Our friends at the Port Admiral Hotel have celebrated their first birthday AND taking out the award for the Best Pub last night too. And it’s not hard to see why. They brought back all day fish and chips to the Port and along with it plenty of brilliant other dishes. Plus you can wash it all down with an array of brilliant local and national beverages, including our own Port Local larger formulated by Pirate Life Brewing and the Port Admiral team. Cheers!
