Excitement is building for Wonderwalls

After the success of the 2015 Wonderwalls Festival that still brightens our Port Adelaide streets to this day, we’re thrilled to be able to bring it back for another round.

This year we’re going to see more art unfold from huge international names such as Fats, Inti, Natalia Rak and Telmo Miel, as well as plenty of exceptional local artists, filling every nook and cranny we have to offer.

Splashed in bold, bright colour across Adelaide’s walls are the spectacular works of homegrown, internationally worshipped, street art superstar Vans The Omega, a.k.a. Joel Van Moore a.k.a. the curator of Wonderwalls.

So why did he choose Port Adelaide for a festival of such a large scale?

“It obviously helps that the Port has lots of vacant wall spaces. But the infrastructure itself is amazing. We just said, ‘We want to be a part of this.’ It feels like it’s really on the up and coming,” says Joel.

The festival itself will span three days over April 21 to 23 with guided tours, photography classes, workshops, artist talks and, of course, a spectacular street party to mark the big opening.

We’ll be sharing more festival updates in the coming weeks, but in the meantime follow us @ourportadl on Facebook and Instagram. For more information, see our Wonderwalls event page.
