What’s on for the Tour Down Under in the Port

It’s so exciting to have the Tour Down Under returning to the Port this year.

After experiencing an extremely warm welcome with the start of Stage One in Port Adelaide last year, Tour Down Under is returning on Tuesday 15 January 2019, this time to close out Stage One. Riders will cycle a modified 129km route, departing at 11am from O’Connell Street in North Adelaide and arriving at the finish line on St Vincent Street at around 2.15pm (we recommend arriving earlier so you don’t miss the fun.)

We love a party in the Port and so City of Port Adelaide Enfield will be showing visitors a good time with Peloton in the Port an array of fun events and activities to keep the crowds entertained once the race is finished.

Due to extreme weather conditions some of the activities have been cancelled or moved indoors, but here’s just some of what you can expect to see on the day:

Shuttle Bus Service

Free shuttle bus service will run every 20 minutes from 11.30am- 6.30pm, stopping at the Port Adelaide Railway Station, SA Aviation Museum and Quebec St.

Parking

Parking is available at Hart’s Mill, Port Canal Shopping Centre, TAFE, SA Aviation Museum and Port Adelaide Reserve.
For all further information including road closures visit City of PAE’s website, the Peloton at the Port Facebook event or the Santos Tour Down Under website.
